C is for Clothes: It's Getting Hot in Here

This is totally unrelated to anything baby.
I hope you don't mind.
Since it's about to get real hot around here,
thought I'd share some warm weather items I'm lusting over:

Image 1 of ASOS Playsuit in Jacquard
I'm still not sure how I feel about "playsuits" but I'm kinda loving this one.
And what about this one?!...

You.get.in.my.closet.now.
And you too please.

And this little number is so pretty. Perfect for a dressy alfresco dinner date.
However, these may have landed on our door step lately...
I was torn between these though...

Image 1 of ASOS Tie Dye Pom Scarf
This scarf is so fun I can't stand it.

Collection toulouse floral short
I love everything about this look.
Only thing missing is some bedazzled earrings or a snazzy necklace.
Especially these shorts.

This is perfect for my 4 months post-partum body.
(Happy Mother's Day to me!)

Image 1 of LEATHER CLUTCH from Zara
I'm really into an "all white" look lately...and this would be perfect.
My sweet friend Natalie has this one though and I'm jealous!

I could go on and on...but I have to find a stopping point.
Think I'll pick up T early and go play!
Have a great weekend y'all!

C is for Clothes: The First Day

This one time, (at band camp...)
I had time for this blog.
Well no longer will I neglect it.
It's my scrapbook for goodness sake.

And there's been several milestones as of late that I need to document...
The first of which being our offical "FIRST DAY":
My first day back at work. His first day at church school.
(a post on our first day soon)
And not that you all really care, but here's what we wore

Mommy wore:
(Like on the first day of school, I set out these outfits the night before.)
{Hot Pink Jacket from The Limited : Flower Blouse from Old Navy :
Striped Skirt from White House Black Market : Guess Pumps from DSW :
Bracelet from JCrew : Green Satchel from Kate Spade}

Tripp wore:
(I was tired therefore the pic is blurry)
{Cowboy outfit from Zutano : Monogram Bib from 3 Marthas : Boot Socks from Trumpette}

C is for Clothes: Black Tie on a Budget

Recently Mr. C and I attended a black tie party for Barnaby,
a non-profit, strictly social women's group in Fort Worth.
It's basically like a grown up sorority without the drama and we just throw the parties!
Um, yes please!

They had a photo booth and super cute props at the party
and here are some snap shots of me and some of my girls:

(aren't they the cutest?!)
{I wore a long black dress from ASOS : Faux leather jacket with chain detail from Maya in ATX :
Feather Earrings from F21 : Gold Glitter Shoes from Steve Madden}

Basically the whole outfit cost about $175!!!
(which means more goodies for you Baby C!)

Cheese!

C is for Clothes: Must Have Hospital Shirt

In the spirit of Cyber Monday,
aka the day my email account shuts down due to spam overload,
I've found the perfect little "I'm going to the hospital to deliver this watermelon baby" shirt.
Just in case I need a friendly reminder that day:

From here.

Isn't it cute?!
Now if only I can find one in the USA...

Happy Shopping!

C is for Clothes: A Night Out

Happy Monday!
Mr. C was hunting (and gathering) all weekend,
(or as he likes to say, "providing for his family"...very manly of him)
so I was very productive around the house.

I finally finished clearing out and putting away all the random stuff left over in the baby room,
organized the old files and paperwork from the (hilarious) file cabinet,
put together his dresser and installed new knobs,
and hung a shelf and additional closet rod in his closet. Just to name a few things...
(all by myself, thank you very much. Ty Pennington, look out!)

Surprisingly, I did have time to sneak away for a friend's 30th birthday party on Saturday night.
Here's what I threw together wore:
Skinny Jeans: Old Navy Maternity (been super happy with these!)
Blouse: Francesca's (old) : Purse: Kate Spade : Shoes: Steve Madden @ DSW
Bracelets: Vintage : Earrings: Lauren Conrad : Arrow Necklace: Stella and Dot
So according to my pregnancy tracker, I'm 27 weeks, 3 days today!!!
aka, I've arrived in the 3rd Trimester.
Which probably means this is the last time I'll be able to see my toes...and cute shoes...
Small sacrifice to pay for my sweet Baby C.

C is for Clothes: Hatch Collection Favorites

Apparently if you're pregnant these days
and haven't heard of Hatch Collection, you're living way out in outer space.
Let's be honest, there aren't many stylish maternity clothes out there, some are down right scary.
but get ready...because whether your pregnant or not, you might become obsessed with this line!

All these looks can go from 1st trimester to 4th trimester- aka "after baby".
Although the initial investment is a little pricier than most,
these pieces are modern in the sense of timeless, not overly trendy.
Plus, aren't these models just the cutest?!
(I would be that happy too in a pair of the Night Out Leggings!)

Here's some of my favorite looks:
The Long Sleeve T $98

The Sweatshirt Dress $238

The Slouch Dress Short $248

The Night Out Legging $148 (hello Christmas list!)
The Cape $378

The Soiree Dress $348

Hello Baby Bump!

C is for Clothes: Pink Ribbon Luncheon 2012

For the past few years, I've helped out with the ZTA Pink Ribbon Luncheon.
The proceeds benefit our scholarship program and go towards breast cancer research.
Today was our 18th Annual Luncheon and it went off beautifully!
The main theme was to remind yourself that it's the little things in life that become the big things.
So enjoy every single second!

Here's what I wore:
(25 weeks & 4 days!)
Dress: Jenny Han (purchased @ Dirty Laudry) : Necklace & Earrings: Stella and Dot
Shoes: Dolce Vita via GILT

Oh, and little Dukeroon decided he wanted in the photo shoot:

GO ZTA and THINK PINK!
