S is for Stuff: New School Baby Gift

 Some sweet friends of ours recently
welcomed their first baby boy.
He is totally adorable
and is super lucky to have such cool parents!

We wanted to do something special for them as a gift,
but not break the bank...
With so many friends having babies lately,
it's been my goal to find unique heirloom presents.

 That's where etsy comes in...
Old school cross stitch please meet new school mustache-coolness!
Let's be honest, the mustache theme has been overdone a bit,
but for some reason this was just too cute to pass up.

Thought this would be cute hanging in his room.
I do love me a good monogram!

P is for Photos: More Maternity Photos

Remember a while back when I said
this confetti may make an appearance in my maternity photos?!

Well, today I'm feeling nostalgic for my pregnancy belly,
so I thought I'd share some additional favorites
taken by my crazy talented friends, the Peekaboo Ladies.
Check out more of the pictures
Here on their blog.

S is for Stuff: To Work Out or Not to Work Out?

That is the question...
That's why I'm using my blog to procrastinate!

I've been searching for the perfect work out routine
since giving birth and I think I've found it.
(Well, here's hoping!)
I've read a ton of reviews on this dvd...

Not that Gwyneth's or Shakira's personal trainer needs any justification...
safe to say looking at their bods, this Tracy lady knows what she's doin'!
I pray that I make it through at least the first 15 minutes
without finding myself back in the sweets pantry and planted on the couch!

Will keep y'all up to date on the progress!

M is for Memories: 1 Month Old!

Hello Baby,

Think we need to run away to Never Never Land
because you are growing up way too fast...

Happy 1 Month Old!!!

Today you had a doctor's appointment and you are
22 1/2" long and 9lbs 14oz!
You have dark blue eyes, blond hair,
still wearing newborn clothes
(but some are getting tight!)
are holding your head up,
gripping onto things with your strong little hands,
and really starting to focus with your little eyes.

It's so cool to see you grow and discover something new everyday.
Love you sweet boy!

B is for Baby: Month 1 Essentials

It's hard to believe a month has already gone by
since sweet little Tripp's arrival.
Some days go by so fast and others drag on;
but either way, here are my "must haves" that have gotten me through Month #1:

monster mash
aden & anais Swaddle Blankets
{Tripp practically lives in these. All day and night. Seriously.
Perfect for swaddling or a last minute burp cloth}
aden™ by aden + anais® "Oh, Boy" Burpy Bib
aden & anais Bibs
{The ultimate spit up catcher. The fact that they are cute is an added plus}

Avent® Soothie Pacifier - Green
{I was against pacifiers, but these have helped me keep my sanity for
when he just wants to soothe himself but doesn't really need to eat}
Bodysuits w/ Built In Mittens- like these
{Not your "going out" outfit, but simple and classic...
especially when you go through 2-3 changes per day!}
UPPAbaby Vista Stroller - Lindsey
{Maybe it's just me, but I'm major stir crazy lately
so this Cadillac of strollers has been a life saver!}

Playtex® Diaper Genie® Elite Diaper Disposal System
{pretty much the best invention ever}
Bambino Basics Pre-Folded 27" x 27" Diapers, 100% Cotton by bb Basics (Pack of 6)
Basic Flat Diapers or Burp Cloths
{for when the swaddle blankets, bibs, my shirt, etc just doesn't cut it}
30-Count Pampers® Swaddlers Sensitive Diapers - Size 0
Pampers Sensitive Swaddlers Newborn Diapers and Sensitive Wipes
{these fit little man just right and prevent leakage (if you know what I mean!)
and are easy on his soft, new skin}

Overall, Month #1 is all about the basic necessities.
Ultimately, all he really needs to survive are some boobies and the other stuff is just an added convenience!
More "essentials" series to come...
not that I'm an expert by any means, but will try to figure this out as I go!

L is for Love: Valentine's Day Cards

Mr. C might be getting like 15 million Valentine's Day cards this year.
Aren't these cards just the cutest?!...
and I couldn't of said the way I feel better myself.
Give all your loved ones a big hug today!
{just go ahead and do it everyday for that matter!}

Wishing you all a very chocolate Valentine's Day!

A Day in the Life

We finally got the Baby Bjorn.
This was on Mr. C's top 5 "must have's" list.
I think they are both happy...
just look at those little legs!

Tripp and I were just chillin' earlier...
putting our little play mat to good use.

Gosh, my little boy is getting so big!

S is for Stuff: Push Gift

Ok ladies,
by now I feel like we've all heard of this new phenomenon
regarding the infamous "push gift".
You know, the gift some women get after "pushing" out a baby.
(cue Mr. C's eye roll now)

I must say, now after having gone through labor myself,
(they don't call it "labor" for nothin')
I'm kinda jumping on the "push gift" band wagon.
(but let's not get it twisted...obviously the baby is the best gift of all!)

So if I were to be so lucky, I would be happy to receive any of these:

R is for Random: Corgi Friday

Happy Friday!
In honor of my other babies: Duke and Pip,
today is Corgi day.
Did I mention how much I love corgis?!?

From here,

here

and here.

{would it be so "mommy" of me if I wore that corgi sweatshirt?...
or would it be totally awesome?!}

M is for Memories: 2 Weeks Old

Hello Baby,

This morning at 6:43am, you were officially 2 weeks old!
It feels like yesterday that we saw you for the very first time.
The past couple weeks have already gone by so fast.
And even through some of the sleepless nights, what a wonderful 2 weeks it's been.

Today you weighed 7lbs, 15oz-
exactly 1 pound heavier than the day you were born.

Happy 2 weeks to you my little love,
XOXO- Mom

S is for Stuff: Baby Teethers

I think this whole "having a baby" thing is
going to be bad for my wallet.
Not only because baby's are expensive of course,
but because this "up all night" thing can lead to some serious online shopping.
{or "surfing" rather...don't fret Mr. C!}

Bad for me. Good for you.
I've found some cool "stuff" that I hope to share with you weekly.
Whether you have a baby or not,
these can be some neat gifts for friends or something to bookmark for later.

Aren't these just the neatest (and prettiest) teethers?!

from here,

and here.

Happy Monday!

B is for Baby: Due Date

Hello Baby,

As the Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland would say,
today is your "happy unbirthday"!
That's because your real birthday was almost 2 weeks ago.
{did someone push fast forward or something?!}
Your official due date was today.
{afternoon nap with me : play time with dad}

This morning we had your 2 week newborn screening.
They pricked your little foot...again.
However, since you had a full belly, you barely cried.
As always, you were such a good baby.

Also, I feel I should mention you had a
couple milestones within the last 24 hours:
you officially have an "outie" belly button {which is so cute!}
and your circumcision healed this morning.

Today you received a ridiculously delicious bouquet of cookies
from your Auntie Kendra- all the way from Jackson Hole.
Don't worry, I'll take care of eating them for you!
After all, your on a strictly milk diet. :)

Happiest of "unbirthdays" to you my sweet boy!
XOXO- Mom
